Was born in 1974 in the Czech Republic into the eighth generation of a well known family of artists. His grandfather still ran his own circus. Both parents are jugglers. Mario had already learned juggling from his father when he was eight years old.
He practised four to five hours a day and had his first performance in Prague, when he was nine years old. For eleven years he was part of a jugglers group with his father, mother and brother. Since 1995 Mario is performing solo.
Mario Berousek has already convinced many juries with his personality, presence and artistic proficiency: He won the first prize in the Enschede Circus Festival in 1997, the silver medal of the Festival Mondial du Cirque de Demain in Paris and most in 1999 a special price at the 23rd Circus Festival of Monte Carlo.
